Director of Experience at LACo (The Village and Drifter) and formerly Tourism & Business Destination Coordinator with Yarra Ranges Shire Council, Melbourne Operations Manager with Tourism Adventure Group, Alex has worked in management positions across Australia, Germany and The UK within the adventure tourism industry and government. Adam Hobson
VICE - PRESIDENT
Growing up in South East Melbourne, Adam discovered a passion for tourism whilst backpacking Europe. ON returning back home, he undertook a Cert IV in Tourism before landing his first guiding job in Alice Springs. The skills developed here, showing backpackers around the Red Centre, held him in good stead as he returned to do tours in Victoria with the Get Lost Travel Group over the next few years.
Adam founded Victorian Bus Charters in 2018 and has been on the YTV Committee since 2019.

Originally from the UK with over 10 years experience in the retail travel sector spanning the UK, US, and Australia. Over the past 5 years, he has held various senior leadership positions in both the inbound and outbound tourism sector in his adopted home – Melbourne.
Julia Ponte
MEMBERSHIP & COMMUNITY MANAGER
Julia is a photographer, urban planner, and town explorer. She is a creative with a background in events, hospitality and travel – both as a ticket holder and a host. She is strongly committed to small business development at community levels and holds the position of President of the Footscray Traders Association.
Julia is well-travelled, having been to over 30 countries, allowing her to share her love for travel through the eyes of the consumer. And in case you’re wondering – Northern England, Cuba, and Russia were her favourite places to visit!
